I was born and raised in Harlem, New York City until I turned fifteen. I moved with my family to Hampton, Virginia to be closer to my grandparents. Back then, I can’t say I had the most positive experience with the field of history. I had trouble retaining information and remembering dates. It was as if the curriculum sought to leave me befuddled. Ironically, I am currently pursuing a Master’s in History at George Mason University. I hope that my online portfolio helps me explore the digital tools used in my field.
