Prelinger Archives&#8217; mission began with digitizing books in 2005 to provide universal access to materials and aiming helping individuals who do not have access to public libraries. Their endeavors to capture the medium of television broadcasts, and the subsequent creation of their TV News Archive, has made it possible for researchers and the public to use television as citable reference.
